A school bus crash injured six students on the way to school Tuesday morning in Addis.Â
The Addis Police Department is calling the incident a single-vehicle crash in which the bus driver turned into a parking lot of the First Bank of Addis on La. 1.Â
The bus hit the roof of the building, which caused damage to the bus's sides and roof, police said.
A total of 14 students were on the bus during the incident, which occurred as the driver was picking up students on his morning route before returning to Iberville Charter Academy.
The injured students were taken to the hospital via an ambulance and treated for minor injuries, authorities said.Â
