The STEM Summer Camp, titled Camp Code for Girls, are provided through a partnership with FAST Enterprises. This program is designed for girls entering grades 8 through 10 in the 2024-2025 school year. Female software developers will lead Girl Scouts through a variety of activities, such as: Pseudocode, Android Fundamentals, Object Oriented Programming, Android App Development and Cryptography. This camp is valued at $450, and Girl Scouts is offering it for free with a $25 commitment fee to reduce no-shows. More information about the STEM Summer Camp can be found .

The Sew Easy, Sew Fun camps are hosted in partnership with Aline Jacobs, a Girl Scout Troop Leader from Ascension Parish. During the beginners鈥 program, Girl Scouts will learn sewing basics and how to use a sewing machine, where they will make handcrafted pillowcases and other projects. Girls will keep their handmade creations.

In the extended opportunity camp, those that have completed the beginner鈥檚 course will take their skills to the next level by working on sewing machines independently. The extended course will require Girl Scouts to be able to follow directions and work with little to no supervision. They will also learn the art of sewing by hand. Cost of both sessions is $65 each and includes fabric, thread, patch, lunch and other needed supplies. Both programs are open to girls Junior and up (those entering fourth grade and up during the 2024-2025 school year). More information about the Beginners鈥 session can be found at . More information about the Extended Opportunity can be found at .
