The East Ïã¸ÛÁùºÍ¿ª½±ÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Parish Housing Authority will host its first free Community Health Fair from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Zion Terrace Apartments, 5958 Cadillac St.

The outdoor event will also encompass BREC's Cadillac Street Park across from the community center.

The fair is designed to bring residents together for a day of free health screenings, fun activities and valuable information on health and wellness.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Receive free health screenings from partner organizations
  • Enjoy food and fun activities for the whole family
  • Learn about healthy living habits and access valuable resources
  • Register for giveaways and gift cards 

Participants in the inaugural event include the East Ïã¸ÛÁùºÍ¿ª½±ÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Parish Sheriff’s Office, which will demonstrate car seat safety, discuss drug use and prevention, and firearm safety; the Metro Health mobile unit, which will offer HIV and COVID testing; the EBR Parish Library bookmobile and the Greater Ïã¸ÛÁùºÍ¿ª½±ÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Food Bank.

Metro Council member Darryl Hurst will provide snowballs, cotton candy and popcorn. There will also be face painting and two bounce houses.
