One man died Wednesday after a fire in a recreational vehicle in Eunice.

Firefighters responded around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday to reports of an RV home fire in the 1600 block of Atterberry Drive in Eunice, according to a Louisiana State Fire Marshal statement.

Firefighters discovered the body of an unidentified man, believed to be the 67-year-old owner of the RV while containing the blaze.

A State Fire Marshal was unable to determine the cause of the fire. Relatives of the victim told deputies that, hours before the fire, the victim complained about electrical issues.

There were no working smoke alarms in the RV.
