A national teen clothing retailer with two stores in Lafayette will close all its stores as part of its filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Rue21, which has 16 stores in Louisiana, has filed for bankruptcy for a third time Thursday and listed assets and liabilities between $100 million and $500 million, .

The retailer, which is majority owned by the private credit investment firm Blue Torch Capital, will also sell its brand and conduct going-out-of-business sales in the coming weeks.

Rue21 has a store in the Acadiana Mall and the Stirling Lafayette shopping center.
